Self Love Challenges and Intuitive Eating Challenges

How does the challenge work?

Once you sign up, you will receive your welcome email that contains in depth detail of HOW TO SIGN UP ON THE APP, your starter pack guide, recipe guide, and food freedom/intuitive eating guide (** download these to your devices once you get them!) 

The workouts for the first week of the challenge will go live ON SUNDAY NOVEMBER 7TH, and we will all be starting the workouts together on MONDAY NOVEMBER 8TH. 

Also on Sunday November 7th, you will receive your week 1 email that just has a bit more information about the first week of the challenge + your week 1 Info Guide (subsequent weekly guides are emailed out every Sunday for their corresponding weeks)

How does the challenge work?

What are the workouts like?

The workouts that you will complete for the next six weeks combine resistance/hypertrophy training and HIIT, and implement progressive overload.

Resistance/hypertrophy training creates a structural and physiological change in physique through muscular contraction against a force of resistance to overload the muscular and neuromuscular systems. 

HIIT (high intensity interval training) gets your heart rate up through all out effort of intense bursts of exercise. HIIT creates an after-burn effect known as “EPOC” (excess post-exercise oxygen consumption) which increases your need for oxygen during the effort and creates an oxygen shortage which causes your body to ask for more oxygen during recovery- resulting in a higher fat burn and calories compared to steady-state workouts. 

Progressive overload is a training principle that involves continually increasing the demands on the musculoskeletal system to continually make improvements in muscle size, strength, and endurance.

(All workouts **CAN BE** done from home with a few sets of dumbbells, and some longer resistance bands + smaller loop bands (starter pack includes full equipment list + optional pieces as well))

  • 5 new workouts per week  + an optional Saturday benchmark workout to track progress for the next 6 weeks via my workout app the Level Epp Fit App
  • Intuitive Eating/Food Freedom Guide that provides information on how to intuitively eat and discover food freedom (weekly tasks/challenges will be provided in weekly ebooks) from Food Freedom Coach Ally Tuozzoli (@sprinkledbyal)
  • Recipe Guide with 30 delicious and easy meals from Hannah Kling (@lovelydelites), Sarah Herman (@sarah.jherman), and Madi Van Natter (@freelyfed) 
  • “Starter Pack” Guide that has in depth information detailing the style of workouts, FIT MIND affirmations, daily goals tracker, progress tracker, how to make workouts more challenging from home, in depth detail of what you will need, overview of how the app works, what to expect with workouts, explanation of weekly self love tasks, how to be entered in for prizes, how to check in weekly on IG + IG template + more!
  • Weekly emails to keep you engaged and interacting. These emails will also briefly review what I want you to focus on that week for the self love task and intuitive eating task/challenge in that weeks corresponding weekly info guide
  • Weekly intuitive eating/food freedom challenges (provided in weekly ebooks)
  • Weekly self love tasks/challenges to improve your relationship with your body (provided in weekly ebooks)
  • Daily FIT MIND affirmations (encouraging affirmations) given out each day of the workweek on the app to help with your mindset
  • Welcome email with in-depth “Starter Pack” Guide detailing all elements of the challenge, Recipe Guide, and Intuitive Eating Guide 
  • 6 Downloadable Weekly Guides designated for each week (you’ll have them forever to refer back to if you ever want to revisit the intuitive eating challenges/concepts) that detail the self love tasks and food freedom/intuitive eating tasks/ challenges, a daily goals tracker, IG template for you to share for your daily check-ins, end of the week check-in page for you to assess how you’re doing at the end of each week + other important info necessary for that week
  • Access to  Jenna, via email/DM for entirety of challenge

My Approach

(to fitness and nutrition)

My approach to fitness and nutrition is one that uses exercise and movement as a way to honor and celebrate all that your body CAN DO/is capable of, along with using nutrition as a tool that fuels our bodies so they can perform optimally PLUS nurturing our souls because all foods fit

I want you to focus on how you FEEL with movement and exercise and all that it allows your body to do. I truly believe that through a combination of these workouts, and weekly challenges focusing on intuitive eating and how you view yourself, you will not only work towards getting your body Fit, but also your mind which will result in feeling more free with your food, body image thoughts, and flexibility within your workout routine.

That’s why I decided to run a challenge that carries us through thanksgiving and then sets us up to be able to more confidently approach the rest of the holiday season into the new year.

It is important to note that while many of you probably have found me + this challenge through instagram, you do not have to be active on social media to participate. With that being said, it is a fun way to connect and create community + interacting on Instagram will enter you in to win prizes throughout the challenge.
